Powder Room Makeover

Have you ever had one thing happen that changed everything? Well, we did last month. It all started with a toilet. Can you imagine a toilet causing such a stir? It was because of this Kohler beauty that we received new from a friend for FREE! A couple had it installed, never used it but didn't like it so it was taken out. It is one of the taller versions which works when your whole family is super, duper tall like mine! It also flushes a bunch a golf balls!! Don't ask...

Well, with a new toilet, you should always paint the walls while the room is empty, right? So I chose Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore.

One thing led to another that caused me to purchase a new light, mirror and accessories. It's called Pinterest. Have you heard of it? It's very hard to take pictures of a powder room!

I loved those floating shelves I saw on Pinterest and ask Mr. Creative if he would mind making some for me. We chose oak since it has such a nice grain to it and I stained them a dark walnut. I think he did just an awesome job on them.

I wanted to keep all my dad's pictures and mementos in here but I did dress it up some with a pop of deep lilac.

Here is the culprit of all this change. Doesn't she look pretty sitting here in all her glory???? If you notice, I had to hide the hunting magazines with a couple decorating ones! Think Mr. Creative will notice?
