Worry & Panic

Worry...does nothing and changes nothing.

I'm in a bit of a panic because of this social security and payroll taxes for 2013. My husband and I haven't received our first checks for the new year yet. However, many of our friends and family have received their checks and what they are saying has me in a panic.

We are all just average income families and they are finding that they are losing on average, $400 per month for a two income family! I'm not sure how we will cope with losing that much money.

Did I already tell you that I'm in a panic????

I keep reminding myself that God would tell me not to worry or panic.

Philippians 4:6-7 tells me, "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

Tonight I'm going to relax and pray while reading this scripture passage. I'm going to be grateful that my husband and I have decent paying jobs instead of worrying. There are many that don't have a job and have much more to worry about financially. We will make it, somehow.

It's time to be even more frugal and button down any extra spending. God will make do with what money we have.

Worry and panic are being replaced faith and obedience.

We will survive!
